OK. first up. BREWSKY AND SABRINA are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. That said - LUCKY YOU who adopts these amazing dogs. B and S were dropped off at a gas station near the Tunica Casinos 3 years ago, where they curled up together next to the station door and waited for their owners to return for them. They didn't. Absolute neanderthals don't you think? Anyway, the gas station owner called THS after 4 days and asked us to please come rescue the dogs. It was a cold cold day and it had been snowing hard. Brewsky and Sabrina were found huddled together in the snow - covered with snow actually. Got that picture in your mind? At the time I had a tear frozen on my cheek as we bundled up these snow covered black and white dogs to take them to our shelter. These dogs are bonded at the heart. They are beautiful to watch run and play together and they quiet down when inside - but they absolutely need a large fenced area to play...this breed is active and energetic you know. They are so lovely to watch they have been featured on the news several times when stories have been done about our humane shelter. They do not do well with other dogs and if you happen to have a cat or two these dogs are not for you. They are both very strong and are quite large for the breed - well, they have been fed extra portions for some time so there you have it. Being so strong, they would be best in a home without small children and are not suitable for seniors - only because they give hugs and they WILL knock you down if you aren't prepared to be hugged a really big bear hug. Our adoption fee for a dog is $100 and that covers all shots and vetting and spay/neuter. Our animals are fully vetted before we send them off to their new family.
